What Is the SAP TCURR Table?
SAP TCURR Table stores the exchange rates between two currencies used for currency conversion in SAP. The system uses exchange rates when business transaction is posted in a currency different from the company code currency or when an amount needs to be translated in to another currency.
TCURR maintains exchange rate information based on the Exchange Rate Type, From Currency, To Currency, Validity Date and Exchange Rate value between two currencies.
SAP supports different types of exchange rate types for different business requirements. Commonly used standard exchange rate types are
- M – Average Rate
For Example:
- Company Code Currency: INR
- Vendor Invoice Currency: USD
- Vendor Invoice Amount: $1000
- Exchange Rate Type: M
- Document Type: KR
When a vendor invoice is posted in USD using transaction code FB60, while the company code currency is INR, SAP converts the foreign currency amount into the company code currency
The system determines the applicable exchange rate based on the exchange rate type, currency pair and relevant conversion date and retrieves the applicate rate from the TCURR table.
SAP Consultants, users and support team use the TCURR table to review exchange rates, verify currency conversion, support reporting and interface and troubleshoot exchange rate related issues.
